Hello!

I’m Melissa, a follower of Christ, recent graduate of Vanderbilt, and incoming Human Capital consultant.  I love deep conversations (preferably over guacamole), road trips, and my fiancé, Josh. But more importantly, I profile piclove Jesus.  If you ask any of my friends to describe me in three words, they’re likely to say things along the lines of blunt, caring, and confident. I think it is important to know what I believe and stick firmly to my morals while seeking to love the people around me in grace and truth. Over the years, I’ve been working to find a balance in being honest with others and loving them well, and it’s something I will likely continue to learn throughout my life.

Throughout my time at Vanderbilt, I’ve had the opportunity to give many talks about Jesus and Christian theology. Each time I spoke, I was able to learn truths from God more thoroughly and apply them more deeply in my life. In this next stage, I don’t foresee having the same opportunities. So, I am starting this blog for two reasons: to share the excessive amount of thoughts about Jesus that I have and to keep myself accountable to having an overflow of thoughts to share. I want to make sure that I continue to pursue Christ with passion and dedication;  my prayer is for my eyes (and yours!) to remain fixed on Jesus. Thanks for joining me in this journey to know Christ more deeply share his love!
